Vetting process
We had a good chat with vet Kieran O'Brien (who was appointed by the FEI to be the Foreign Veterinary Delegate at the Test Event (Endurance) for 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy) over the weekend on the best way to determine the winner of the rally. It's not too simple, as although the rally is a relatively low level event coming in under 50km, it is however 48km each day over the three days, so quite nevertheless quite challenging. We'll look at heart rate, time and have vet checks at the start and end of each day and will put an emphasis on the condition of the horse at the end of the rally to determine the winner.
